FINNNISH-POLISH COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED!

After more than 20 years of cooperation between Finnish and Polish partners in Northern Ostrobothnia and Wielkopolska regions, the bilateral cooperation agreement was signed by Ylivieska sub-region’s leader - Mr.Timo Kiema and Czerwonak sub-region’s leader – Mr. Jacek Sommerfeld. The agreement is part of a project Finlandia SPOT, the aim of which is to create and develop the Finnish-Polish guidance and encounter, Finlandia SPOT in Poland, in cooperation with the Northern Ostrobothnia region's enterprises and organizations, as well as Polish actors. The signature ceremony was attended by plenty of representatives of companies in the region. The project supports the provincial strategy by improving the internationalization of local business, education and research. Finlandia SPOT Centre will operate in Poland as an excellent conference, training and presentation place where one can experience the atmosphere of genuine Finnish log house, access to wooden sauna and innovative Finnish construction and design products and services. The project provides marketing and sales support for Finnish companies in Poland, as well as a comprehensive market research (supervised by professionals) for SMEs in tourism, construction, education and other service sector.

The project manager Katarzyna Jämsä says that the aim of -supported by Rieska-Leader - project is to bring together the areas of interest of ​​Finnish micro companies and SMEs from Oulu Region for joint investment, export, marketing and public relations efforts in Poland and to organize B2B and B2C meetings in Poland. Most of Finlandia SPOT- complex’s investment, in the Polish Czerwonak will be supported by the Polish Leader Association, as well as private investors. The project’s target marketing and public relations activities of Finnish products and services in Poland will focus mainly on PR activities in mass media, dissemination of variety of brochures and catalogs, blogs, social media marketing, and use of professional websites and modules. Project’s objectives include the participation of Finnish companies in different events held during Poznan Trade Fair events, among others: Art and Design Festival in December, construction fair Budma, as well as Salon Tour for tourism industry in February and March. These fairs aim to seek cooperation partners, importers and distributors for Finnish actors. Project manager - Katarzyna Jämsä says that, in the second phase of the project, it is to set up a virtual office space and an exhibition and demonstration area at Finlandia SPOT - complex and focus on tailor-made marketing and sales of Finnish products and services in Finland, develop guidance and meeting center in and around Poland. The Polish guests Jacek Sommerfeld, Magdalena Jankowska and Karolina Cieślak, visited extensively with project personnel Finlandia SPOT –project area, including companies in Ylivieska, Sievi and Kalajoki.
